PLAECO is a delivery food package system made of PLA, which is bio-degradable resin that can replace petroleum-based plastics. PLA is made of 99.3% nature-derived raw materials and returns to 100% nature by being decomposed by microorganisms after use. When completely decomposed into water, carbon dioxide, and other decomposable organic substances, it can be used as compost. PLAECO’s delivery packages, consisting of containers and carriers, are made of highly-insulated foam PLA. Secure delivery is possible through a Lego-structured stacking system. A hole with a hinged door is located at the corner of the lid so that user can throw away the leftover soup easily. The carrier is used as a trash bag holder to facilitate the disposal of garbage after meal. PLAECO can cover all steps in delivering food from restaurants to customers. It is designed to satisfy various types of users (restaurant/deliverymen/customer) with different needs in each step.
