Amylum is both the client company and the name of a sustainable packaging project based on starch-derived eco-friendly foam plastic technology. The project proposes a wide range of food packaging and delivery container systems, reinterpreting iconic formats such as pizza boxes, burger containers, Chinese American takeout boxes, cups, and fresh food packages. The modular containers are designed to stack and lock together securely, minimizing movement during delivery. The project also introduces a distinctive Amylum symbol that expresses a different kind of sustainability from conventional recycling marks. Instead of representing a loop, the symbol visualizes the idea of coming from nature and returning to nature. Abstracted from the letter “A,” it also forms a heart when turned upside down, symbolizing love for the earth.
